I am a highly enthusiastic and relational primary school teacher. I believe developing a positive and safe classroom culture where students feel supported, valued and have a sense of purpose is vital. I see failure as a way to build upon resilience and strive to instill this value.

For me, effective teaching is interactive and collaborative, with students’ voice being a primary part of this. I am of the belief that we never stop learning and am passionate about sharing this with my students.

I care deeply about this school, its staff, students and community. This has been my biggest motivator in ensuring I plan and implement the best possible classroom program. I teach with my students' needs, wants, passions and wellbeing at the forefront of everything I do. In alignment with the New Zealand curriculum and the vision of Karangahake School, nurturing confident and adaptable learners.
