Karangahake School is a community minded school fostering good manners, respect and caring for others and our environment. We aspire to grow children who will leave our school as confident, connected, life-long learners.
Karangahake School is a U2, full primary school (Year 0 -8), currently employing 3 teachers and 2 support staff with a funded roll of 68 students. We are able to offer small class sizes in our fully modernised, well resourced classrooms.
Our school is situated 6.4km from Paeroa, students come from Karangahake, Waikino and Paeroa, and our school van is used as a bus service for students, driven by one of our licensed support staff.
Students at Karangahake School display social interaction across the year levels with great peer leadership and care with many opportunities for student led events. Inside the classroom students are encouraged to think critically, grow their potential and build co operative skills. Individual learning programmes are offered and student success is celebrated. The school has a rich outdoor environment that is utilised for education beyond the classroom.
Karangahake School is supported well by the Board of Trustees who are made up of committed parents and staff, who govern the school in such a way that the students experience a safe learning environment rish in growth and development.
Our PTA are a group of parents highly motivated to provide extra resources and experiences for our studnets through their successful fundraising efforts through their Paeroa famous bake sales, raffles, Housie hot pot nights and much more.
